A note to Spammers.

This is not, as you might expect, going to be an angry rant about how spammers are even lower life forms than dogs or how they destroy the peace and beauty that once was the internet.

No, this is a thank you.

Some of you may have noticed that this site is still "Word Verification" free. No typing in a code to post, and all are welcome, registered, non-registered, lurkers and guests. This has been made possible because I've had no spammers for months. So thanks guys, for not ruining it for the rest of us.

And if you do decide to come back, if you do force me to turn on word verifcation, don't be surprised if you wake up one day with a rabid possum in your bed.

It's a shame that vile beings ruin stuff for the rest of us.

Especially for SPAM! I feel bad that spiced meat is getting such a bad rap!

You are lucky. The very first day I posted I had spam. Mum hadn't turned the verification on. So she turned it on to keep the nasty people out.

Our Mom gets email spam, but not 'cause of our blog. We've only had one comment that *might* have been spam, so no weird word to type and no comment verification. Yahoo mail is good at sorting spam from... what do we call good email, stinky goodness?

I've been having good luck of late and have kept the word verification off. Just an occasional. Recently had to search through many old postings before I finally found the spam comment. Is there an easier way to find the exact post where a comment has been added?

Great post! Come check out mine sometime, I have ... :)
