In my attempts to placate the people, I've decided to try being sympathetic towards thier woes.

For instance;

Just last night, the man came home all tired and worn out from being outside all day. He mentioned something about a bad day at "work" - whatever that means. In an attempt to show my sympathy for his plight, I go sick all over his work uniform.

I wonder why that didn't make him feel better?
